Host Announcement: Blue Spectrum Band

Ichabod and the team are absolutely delighted to announce that our good friends at Blue Spectrum will be joining us for the 2018 Pumpkin Pedaler! Land-Grant Brewing was kind enough to offer their Beer Garden Stage for the afternoon, and Blue Spectrum will be playing at the end of the ride as we determine the winner. This free show will also be open to anyone - even if you aren't able to ride, please join us in Franklinton for the show!

Blue Spectrum was founded by gifted guitarist Zayne Harshaw. Diagnosed with autism at the age of four, this determined young man taught himself to play the acoustic, electric and bass guitars at the age of 14. But it was his introduction to the blues sound that provided the musical construct from which he developed his own style. Blue Spectrum includes Amelia Rose on keys, Alan "Uncle Al" Jefferson on bass and vocals, and D'Arco Smith on drums. The band has played throughout Central Ohio this year, with sets at ComFest, the Gahanna Blues and Jazz Festival, and at the Blank and Brush Block Party.

"Life is not to be viewed through the single lens of a diagnosis but to be lived through the Spectrum of potential, promise and purpose." Blue Spectrum's mission is one that is near and dear to our hearts at the Pumpkin Pedaler Foundation. Their music is a testament to the fact that whatever your challenges, passion and drive will lead to great things.
